Sant Jordi

I love Sant Jordi, this beautiful day in Catalonia. It's all about books, flowers and dragons. Long story short (just in case someone doesn't know what I'm talking about) the legend says that the knight killed the dragon to save the princess and from the blood of the dead dragon a rose grew. That's why in Catalonia, where it's a really important festivity, guys give roses to the girls and they get books (the books are to commemorate Cervantes and Shakespeare's deaths). But let's be honest, nowadays everybody gets books (yes, guys, we love books too!). In my drawing I couldn't kill the dragon, sorry, I just like them too much.

Adoro Sant Jordi, este día tan bonito en Catalunya. Va sobre libros, flores y dragones... Resumiendo en caso de que alguien no sepa de qué estoy hablando, la leyenda dice que el caballero sant Jordi mató al dragón para salvar a la princesa y de la sangre del dragón muerto, brotó una rosa. Ese es el motivo por el que en Catalunya, donde es una fiesta realmente importante, los chicos dan rosas a las chicas y ellos obtienen libros (los libros conmemoran la muerte de Cervantes y Shakespeare). Pero siendo honestos, hoy en día todos recibimos libros (sí, chicos, a nosotras también nos gustan los libros). En mi dibujo no he podido matar al dragón, lo siento, me gustan demasiado.
